Light, a Refute of Reason
This circle of light
Pulls me towards the core
It pushes through me
As I fall
It begins to melt
Splitting polarity
Twists inward
I will not leave
I cannot leave
This is where I remain
All light has flowed past
And the void grips tighter
It peels and curls inward
A spiral embryo
Holds water tightly
It binds us all
To this world,
And whatever exists beyond it
I know it’s there
What shape it may take
Is beyond all of us
But I know it’s there
I feel the light of it
Not of a God
But a place of souls
Where we all return
* * *
But what lies beyond?
What walls remain?
The foundation
The house of spirits
The cellar of our universe
Beyond our sight
The door in the back of our closest
Of the first room we ever saw (of the only room we ever saw, we have never left)
It remains
Untouched
At the End of Time
For us only to see
By turning inward
* * *
Turn your eyes around.
Stare through the dark of your eyelids
Above the void
You will see a presence
And you will feel it.
This is where I wish to remain
Behind the eyes
Through the void
Above it
Into that circle of light
The auras that hold you
They give you warmth
They hold us all
And guide us towards it
Where we can’t see
They are our eyes
They are us
They are all we really are
Lights, at our core.
It is this, and nothing more.
